    Stretched Model A truck cab?

A bunch of great ideas here. I just got done with my 29 Model A Sedan. My bride recently bought a 29 Model AA truck. I'm 6'1"/250, I'm gonna need some leg room. She, on the other hand, is 4'11.5" and she'll make sure you know about that last 1/2". I'll need to put the seat on rails for when...

    Stretched Model A truck cab?

Looking to maybe stretch the cab on my wifes 29 Model A truck. Anyone do/done this? Looking for pics and what you used for the sheetmetal part. Thanks in advance!

    Vacuum leak

On a side note, I found the issue with the vacuum leak. In putting a thin bead of RTV around the ports was the culprit. I went back to doing it the old school way like I always have (no RTV on the head/intake area, only a tall bead front and rear). No leaks whatsoever. That's what I get for...

    Vacuum leak

Ouch, I was a little nervous using the rubber Roloc disc to get the old sealant off, but I knew it wouldnt take any "material" off. On a side note, I did take a 2' straight edge along the head and intake surfaces. They are all surprisingly very straight.

    Vacuum leak

Im going to set the intake back on the heads without the intake, and run a feeler gauge down through there to see.

looks as if its to the left and right of each of the intake runners

    Vacuum leak

I know it should be a simple thing but I guess I’m not holding my mouth correctly. I have a SBC with an Edelbrock tunnel ram and 2 500cfm Edelbrocks. This is the second time I’ve put intake gaskets after removing it to fix a small oil leak. I've always installed them dry. I installed a dry set...

    Quick TH350 question

Thanks! I didnt even think about the pump not spinning (too many different things to think about as Im almost done, lol). Looks like I'm off to the "get 'em store" to grab a couple additional quarts to install after I set the timing, lol. Thanks!

    Quick TH350 question

First time building a car completely. Custom frame, air bags, etc. Using a TH350 for transmission. This is a newly rebuilt transmission (no fluid in it). I'd read anywhere from 9-11 quarts on a completely empty trans. I'd poured a quart in the torque converter prior to stabbing it in the...

    Air ride install

    Super quick brake line question

Yuppers, gonna just swap the hose. Male on both ends if I can to put the master cylinder side directly in to the rear proportioning valve. Thanks!

    Super quick brake line question

I am looking at needing a male on both sides of that fitting, because my "T" has the inverted flare female: "T" fitting: https://www.speedwaymotors.com/AFCO-40251-Brake-System-3-16-Inch-Inv-Flare-Tee-Fitting,41359.html Brake hose I have to hook to the "T"...

    Super quick brake line question

Running all my new lines using the nickel/copper alloy 3/16" line. I have run into a snag going from the one line from the master cylinder to the "T" that splits between the two calipers. The "T" has a female inverted flare fitting (IFF) and the 15" rubber line from the output of the...

    Rear end dilemma...

Ah ok. I'll take a hard measurement of what I have. That's what I get for assuming, lol. If they are the same, there are all manner of bolt on kits that fit GM 10 and 12 bolts. I was about to pull the trigger on the weld on kits. Thanks!

    Rear end dilemma...

Soooo...Speedway makes a weld on bracket for a 78-88 mid sized GM caliper. Thinking this may be a better option as thats what is on the front of my car. Curious as to what the rotor might be. I have all the part numbers for calipers/pads/etc. But I need to figure out what rotor that would...
