    New to rat rods and hot rods

    Started with this in March of 2022 May of 2024 and we have this to look at... There was a lot of crack pipe smoke to get it to this point...all the heavy lifting is done...26 months steady Get something that is all there or close to being all there....all those little parts add up quickly...

    1939 Plymouth oval track Jalopy

    I got the old guy to actually fire up...it took many nights with an old race car guy who helped me figure out the wiring on it...then I we put brandy new windshield in it shipped from Oregon to Mechanicvillle NY...it even came with a Steele rubber gasket...two old guys...took us less than 2...

    Out of mothballs!

    I go hot and cold with this part of my tinkering life...love these old heaps until I have to drive them on the roadways...then I sell them...but here is Dave Whitcomb...a 1948 CJ2A Willys Jeep....been in the same family since 1957....my goal...get it to run and move... keep all the crustiness...

    Some people shouldn't

    I tried to do a 4 link rear end assembly in my current heap and I just could never get it to sit square in the chassis no matter what I did...finally called the fine folks at Posie Spring company and bought a leaf spring set up...kinda hard to screw that up...and don't know...the right side...

    Boy do I agree with that statement...if I never had to drive again I would be ok with that...I hope they have self driving cars perfected before I leave this realm. I would love to punch in an address and the vehicle drives you there...now that would be fun...sorta like the old Star Trek...
