Those 'rivets' are neat, where did you get them?

These came from ebay.
McCarr-Masters??? Sells them as well.
I first got hip to them
When i was restoring some spotlights.
Lots of different sizes available.
I wouldnt be surprised if fastenal didn't have them to

Yes.😳😂😜
Took a little ride this morning and this thing followed me home😄
53 nailhead pulled from a running driving Buick about a week ago.
The only thing i don't have are the exhaust manifolds.
No idea what i will do with it but its not everyday you find a running nailhead 20 minutes from your house.

Thanks Gang.
Things like this don't usually show up in my neck of the woods.
A nailhead was the original engine of choice for my custom truck. I even had the Ford Transmission adapter for one.
The one I had turned out to be junk so I went with the Olds Rocket engine instead.
Part of me wants to hang on to it. Part of me says flip it and use the bread on the custom.:cool:
We shall see.
I keep reminding myself I still have 2 hemi's on the way.:D:D

Not much to report here.
I did get out into the shop and did some clean up of the dirt on the floor from the seat.
On a sadder note. We rehomed my shop buddy Duke today.
Mrs T cant handle him on a lead and im too weak and slow.
He needs a more active owner than we can be.
He is a damn fine dog.😔

That had to be extremely tough when he left. :( Had to drop off the best I've ever had to be put down for heart worms many years back. Those are not good times.

Keep pushing forward Torchie. You got this.

Thanks gang. A tough one for sure.
It what was best for him and us. Sure doesn’t make it any easier though.
Off to the leg store for my first casting towards a new leg.
Torchie

And now for something different.....

Thought you guys might find it interesting to see how a fake leg is built.
This is the new liner I will be uaing. I used this system when I had my first leg built.
A threaded stud goes into the bottom of the liner. You put the stump into the socket and press down. You will hear the stud click into place and lock in.
Lots of measuring and markings on the plastic bag over the new liner.
The tech then puts a thin cast and the marks are trnsfered into the cast.
He will fill the cast with silicone and have a perfect version of my stump.
Back next week for the test socket fitting.
Keep on keeping on....
