I'm in awe. [dr[dr[cl[cl[P[P. You may have mentioned before. What gauge steel are you using and what bead roller. The bead work is incredible!

Thanks man! 18 ga. steel, the bead roller is a Magnum (Chinese), pretty crappy actually - but it was cheap:rolleyes:

Mounted the tailgate old school style with some trailer chains from Princess Auto.

Super simple hinge, just a piece of 1/4" steel that fits into a notch on the edge of the bottom tube when the gate is lowered below level, when it's above that, it can't fall off. :)

Made and mounted the tailpipes, leftover tips from an exhaust upgrade on my Ram pickup, knew I was saving them for something...

More progress on the bed, made the floor structure and a filler panel at the rear to hide the frame and tank. Hinged the front section for access to the air system and battery.

I like your inside the bed gate chains![cl

Thanks, it was just a simple way to do it, need to get some thin rubber tube to go over them.

Decided to go with a set of 50 Pontiac tail lights I had. Nobody makes a mount for them since they are meant to go on a flat surface, so I made my own 2 piece mounts, sort of like a can that fits inside the main housing, held on with 2 screws. Also put a 1/4" plate backer to the bedside mounts so they won't jiggle around.
Booted the Packard project outside for now under a tarp, just too congested - a mans shop never seems big enough...

Small jobs today.
Back to the F100 for parts, modified the fuel filler neck to fit in, I don't like having the filler in the bed - may need a new cap tho....
Ever since Bamamav questioned the angle on the steering joint, it's been haunting me - though it did work, it was at the limit of an extreme angle. Got to work and remedied the situation - thanks Bama! (before and after pics)
Made a V shaped front frame spreader bar, also gives me a place to mount the front plate.
Mounted a GM one wire alternator, just a couple spacers and a tweak to the adjusting arm.

Glad I could be of service!:D

Knocking it outta the park! Looks like it will be on the road before the snow flies! [P[cl
