I bought a 75 Gold wing the other day. Its in great shape mechanically just need a cosmetic rebuild. Not sure which way I'm going with it right now. Bobber or mild custom. I may even try for 100% original. I guess I'll just have to see what suites me as I put it back together. I have the frame and related components at the sand blaster right now. In the meantime I'm doing some necessary maintenance and upgrades to the engine and drive train.

Years ago a friend made one into a Harley look alike. It looks so good most people have to do a double or triple take to figure out what it is. I'll be watching yours.[P[P

I’ve been so busy building naked Goldwings that I haven’t been on here in a while. Since last December I have done 4 of them. The 75 in the first post above I decided to go back stock. First pic is of it.

Then I bought a 80 and a 83 and used all the best parts to build the one in the second pic. It has a single carb conversion on my home made intake manifold with a Holley progressive 2 bbl carb.

A few weeks after selling it I ran across a 76. Got it together and in primer and a guy came by and saw it and wanted it like it was so it’s gone. Third pic.

Fourth is a 76 I just finished. A guy knew I was rebuilding wings and offered me his collection of parts free. Included were two frames, three motors and lots of other parts. I decided to see if I had enough to build another one. Had enough to make a running roller then spent more $ on missing parts than I had on any of the others. It has a Single carb conversion with a 34 Pict 3 VW carb.

I’m about ready to retire from building wings.
