We got a 1926 Dodge Brothers Sedan. (3) Owners prior to me chopped the car up to make a street rod. He decided to change from a four door to a two door and got rid of the front doors. He then chopped 6” out of “most” of the car. He never got anything reassembled or welded together. He passed away and his grandson got the car (parts). The grandson let the car sit in a field for YEARS. Cows and Mother Nature had their way with it. Then another guy bought the car thinking he’d finish with the street rod plan. He decided to go with a Pinto he had sitting around for the drive train and suspension. Luckily he ran into money problems before getting too far with his plan and I got the car. It’s a rough start, but it will be worth it when it’s done.:)

the sheet metal looks good and straight, that will definitely help with reassembly...

Ill be watching this one for sure

Here's some pics of the body getting clamped together. I also found a couple seat frames from fork trucks that we are planing on using. They are just set in to get an idea for now.

This post will get this up to current status.

We loaded the car up Friday so I could take it to work and get some better, stronger welds on it. I was surprised how well it fit in the back of the truck.

While there we added supports and cut out for the axle. Cut and altered the doors so they would fit the cowl and welded some supports throughout the body to stiffen it up.

2 door from 4 doors are really getting a lot of attention lately,
here are a few sites of people doing this conversion;

my 1930 chrysler sedan build, on this board,

33 dodge scrounger syle, on this board,

1933 dodge 4dr to 2dr update, on this site,

34 chrysler, on the hamb,

Thanks for all the comments; they really help.

I was very nervous starting this project, just thought it might be too much to handle for a 1st time build. You are all helping me think I made the right choice.

The farther it gets, the more pumped I get to finish it! :D

Just a quick update from last night.

We moved the body over to my son’s house and while there, decided to set the Hemi in front of it, just to get the idea. [ddev

My son also started a rendering of what the car should look like.

Other than that, we are waiting for steel to come in for the frame.
