Got the right plate now!

The buddy that owns this truck turn to 40 last week. His dad is not doing very well so he's not in the best place. A handful of close friends are going to come over tonight and we are going to work on his truck. He's coming by to check progress and go over the parts we need to order, he doesn't know they're stopping by. Hopefully we can get a handful of things going tonight

^So cool!^ I've got a pic of my daughter somewhere around here when she was sanding parts on my Harley back when she was about that age. She's 44 now! Don't blink, time disappears...

Yes it does my friend. My oldest will be 9 this summer. Crazy how fast time flies!!

So the surprise party did not go as planned. My buddy who's birthday it was ended up going out to his dad's house to see some family members before he came over. He ended up not leaving there until about an hour and 45 minutes after he was already supposed to be at my place. He did make it over we did surprise him we hung out a little bit but we did not get to work on his truck. He however did drop off parts like the radiator the fan and some other miscellaneous parts. Tonight I got the front end mocked up on the truck once again. I will finish getting it attached along with the steering rack on my next shop night. Starting to look like something again

Cab corners are blended. Not 100%happy with the back paint. It has some dark and light spots. I didn't have good light when I painted. My bad!! But to be honest it matches the back of the cab!! I got it all polished and ready for the box!
Also got the steering rack installed!

Got the rear axle all cleaned up re-welded and painted. The welds on the axle were not pretty nor strong. I also got the transmission mount built l, cleaned up painted and installed. I reinstalled the rear links and I hope to get the rear axle underneath of it soon

Lookin' good LB! [cl[cl
The paint blend may not even be noticed by lots of people with he majority of the body sporting real patina. Too many fauxtina jobs go too far and just lose their credibility making you wonder why they didn't just do a real paint job...

I agree, I hate fake patina jobs. I think that's why I'm being so critical on what I did. All together like you said it probably won't even be noticed
