Thought I would post pictures of the '22 here.
They got "lost" in the K.B. meltdown and never did reappear.
I've been working on a lot of the "little time consuming things", so not much has changed
if you have already seen these.
I 'll post further updates as I get things "done". '22

love that engine , whats the windshield from ? doesn`t look like the one that came with my 24 , maybe a model year difference

More information.........

'24 Dodge requested some interior photos...
For whatever reason, the site won't let me upload them now....

This is a cut down touring car, and the windshield is stock for the car,
it is the lower half of the glass for a 2 piece winsheild.
The stanchions were cut even with the top of the glass, the rest of the stanchion was used
for the headlight bracket on each side, bent and welded to the frame.
The upper glass pivot was used to mount the light. Worked out well.

The body is a cut down '22 Dodge touring, '29 Ford frame, Z'd 11" and narrowed 5" at the firewall.
Engine is a '49 Chevy 235 "Hi-torque" ( McGurk cam and intake with 3 Stromberg singles, Nicson side and valve covers, Mallory duel point) '36 chevy 3 speed tranny, and '48 Ford brakes and rear end.
I have an early steel quick change rear that will go in soon, it is a modified stock center,
turned 180 degrees and modified.

"24, I'll post the interior photos as soon as I can..

A few more early photos....

Well, now that I have figured out the secret code for uploading pictures, here are a few more.
Turns out that, even though they were under the max size limit, one dimension was too large.
I FINALLY "got it".

A couple more early photos and interior shots.
And the quick change that is going in as soon as I can locate someone close by who knows
how to set up the rear end correctly. "22

Alrighty then! I just bought a unknown body today. It has been made into a t-bucket-esq body. Judging by the looks of the dash I'd say its a dodge of some sort. It comes complete with operational doors, and a firewall stamped T127203. I'll be sure to post pictures when I have time. I assume I can draw upon the vast knowledge pool here to help I.D. the body exactly, and to help out when I get stuck.

The dash is identical to 22's dodge. My glove box even operates normally, and the dash has the goofy dash light located in the middle.

Thanks guys...Getting close to driving it again...

Thanks for the positive comments guys.
Hitman, post those pictures. I would like to see what you have bought !!

This last time home got the brakes finished: new wheel and master cylinders, new steel lines and hoses, relined the shoes.
And most importantly at this stage, current tags and insurance in place.
Getting close to driving, just the little stuff and some wiring to do.
And figuring out a rear shock set up that I like  .
I am back in Russia again, so plenty of time to think about the shock issue on the next trip home.
I hope to have driving photos soon.... '22

Old Russian Tin....

take some old car pics for us while your over there !

I've been here almost 3 years, and the oldest cars I have found are late 80's.
Now, older side car equiped motorcycles are around and used by families to get around.
The biggest problem would be parts to fix an old vehicle.
And other than wheels and tires, no vehicle changes.
Their registration process can't comprehend brand X motor in brand Y car or truck.....Forbidden....:(
I have seen Mom, Pop, and 4 kids packed on a sidecar rig on a road so rough that it really wasn't a road...... Surprised no one bounced off..
If I do see something here worth posting, I will get a picture. '22

Thanks...

22 how wide are your rear wheels ? they look good

Thanks, 24. Appreciate the complement.

They are 7" wide, a stock 16" wheel with the outer lip cut off and a new piece with lip welded on.
And, no, I didn't make them. I bought them from a guy in Colorado off of eBay.
Even with shipping, they were 1/3 the cost of new ones and they are true.

I had Nate Jones (Long Beach / Signal Hill CA.) check them out before I mounted the tires.
Nate is one of the few people left in my area that mounts tires the old way.
Shaves the tire, ballances the assembly. And he did the 33" wheels (split rims) on the rear of my Ford TT.

Latest update.....

Well, thought I would bring you all up to date on the Dodge.
Quick change didn't quite get finished, so it will be the first thing I do next trip.
Machine work and chrome is done, just 1 more small part to locate.. or make.
Lime Works has done a great job on this for me.

I did pull the motor, finish cleaning and painting it, installed a new oil pan, and reinstalled the motor.
Disassembled the starter and generator, degreased and painted them, and had a little pin stripeing added. Sonny from Road Dog did the stripeing.
New water pump, installed all the hoses, etc.
Engine is pretty much ready to go.
Drilled some holes in the rear cross member, diassembled and painted the rear spring, and added some pin stripeing to the first full top spring. It can be seen through the holes.
New square gas tank, $25.00 plus shipping from eBay.
Clean, heavy duty, and couldn't have ordered a custom tank that fits better.
Reworked the steering shaft and cover for the new steering wheel.
Replacing the non-syncro 3 speed with a Saginaw 4 speed, will utilize Patrick's closed drive kit for the saginaw to link it to the enclosed drive and quick change rear.
A couple of nice conversations with Patrick on the project and some good information and help.
And a whole lot of other minor things got done this time.
My wife tripped, broke her ankle AGAIN (2 times, same ankle, in 14 months).
So we were home and I got a lot of garage time this trip home.

That's it for now....quick change installation next. '22

I don't know how you did it, but you found a way to make your car even more bad@$$ and still keep it just as simple as can be.

Absolutely love it.
