My Dad's 79 Honda Accord hatchback until I did a 360 in it. Barrel roll style. Then it was whatever 100k+ 200$ beater I could finish off the automatic in. '75 Plymouth Gran Fury Broughm, '76 AMC Matador, '71 Plymouth Satellite, '78 Ford Elite, '76 Pontiac Grand Prix... you get the idea.

What a great thread Tripper, sure wish I could go back to that time, even for one day. My first car in high school was a 65 Galaxy 250 six that promptly was replaced with a 302. Then I scored a 69 Mach 1 with 351 and a 4 gear. But the sweetheart was my 65 Chevelle SS with a very warmed up Vette 350/350 combo and 12 bolt posi 3:73 rear. Man I'd love to have that car back again.

Here is a list of some of the other cars guys were driving at my scholl at that time.

71 Challanger 340/auto
74 Cuda 360/auto
70 Super Bee 383/auto
70 Vega 327/ 4gear/9"rear
63 Galaxy conv, 390/auto
73 Nova 350/auto
51 Ford F1 239/4gear
69 Mini Cooper S
66 Chevelle 327/4gear. This car was purchased by this this guys dad new. It was a 4 door hard top, butter nut yellow, black vinyl top, black bench seat interior, and was very fast.

Graduated high school in 1992.
Got a 1963 falcon in 1990. Got a 70 F-100 in 1991 and it is still my daily driver. Best 2grand I ever spent.

thanx...Ded N. Buried

You guys are all so...young. I started with a 1948 Chevy 2 door bought from a car lot for $125 in 1957. A year later I had a 1935 Ford 2 door. Paid $65 for that one. Then I put a 24 stud flathead in it that had seen a year of dirt track use on alcohol. Eventually I traded that one for a 1941 Ford coupe.
Among these cars was several $50 wonders to get around in while working on the good ones.
