i worked on the front suspension alittle more, get it lowered a few more inches

turned the lower arms into flat plate arms
 
Gotta do what you gotta do to get what you want, maybe add a stiffener to the bottom


the plate is 1/4 inch and I added triangle braces on the underside

and the back part of the arm was cut out ones the sides where welded in
the back part of the arm is now 1/4 inch plate

and a 1/4 inch plate goes across up front in the ball joint area
 
1/4” plate and braces, that would hold up a house🏚

house will work or a 2800 lb truck, not sure what the front weight would be but that 5.3 is lighter then the inline 6, since those inline 6 engines were like big block chevy weight

no idea what the stock cast iron gearbox weight was, but the 4l80e I have now is around 260-270 I think maybe 280 with tc and oil
 



this came in the mail today

im super happy

new repro ones are $300 plus

this one is a og part, and I got it for $68 shipped off of ebay

ended up spending the last few days extended the control arms 3 inches


here's the lower right arm


I have to get a small spacer for the black rims, I think I need 1/4 inch, im probably going to build my own spacer

heres how much closer the wheel is to the fender now

 






started to mock up the steering column

im going to cut the splines off of the chevy column to put on the Nissan eps unit, I got a column from a 83 s10 pick up
 



mounted the air tanks a few days ago



the valve bank mount





im starting to run the air line to the valves and tanks

want to get the air set up working in the next few days
 


got this gen 1 s10 pedal box set up

going to use this with a booster/master and prop valve from a 03 s10 blazer
