I think they may have been bought out by Nucor Steel. They only made/make raw product, steel sheet rolled up into coils , no telling who Mopar had do the stampings, they might have had their own stamping mill, I don't know.

Never did like unibody stuff much. Was always a PITA to fix back in my body shop days. Seems to me they were just factory made rust traps.

You’re not kidding; unibody repairs are a pain. If the frame rails on this had been bad; I probably would have sold it for parts and called it a loss.
I got my spring support finished and mounted today; time to take a break for a few days.

I got the drivers side rocker tacked in, made a repair piece for the rear wheel opening and got a decent start on the other rear corner today. I’ve got the first week of January off work; I hope to have all the patching on the body done and the welds ground down by the end of that week so I can start on the doors.

The other spring mount was in much better shape; just cleaned up the surface rust, hit it with some POR-15; and made a new backing plate section to tie it all together.

I appreciate it, and I agree. I've learned a lot watching the other guys on this forum. You see things being done here you don't see on any other sites.

I got the other corner on; now I need to patch the floor on this side and make a tail pan. Then all I have left is one small area to patch by the side doors.

Thanks! I’ll be glad to get the body work part over with. Tail pan is tacked on; started on the last area to patch.
