Whats the best caster degree to use on a 4" dropped axle with a cross over spring and trad. side steer , the spring is hung off a spring perch that is mounted to a 3" round tube .

When i'm going to weld the perch in should it be on 0 degrees or the same as the caster degree

Thanks

Tilting the perch is okay, but not all that important. I like 6-7 degrees, but you hear of 9 and even 10 working well for some folks. I know there is a limit somewhere, and I think 10 is probably close to it.

Thanks Jeff , i'm hoping to put it together tomorrow [;)

If it has static perches then yes, you have to put the degree in the spring perch. If you have adjustable perches then no.

I like 9-10 degrees. With a lightweight car and a narrow tire it works great.

Would tend to agree with BH!! Remember ther are not exact numbers,
with the use of different pieces you still have to find what you're
set up wants!!
