if you could find out what it is maybe have some luck on finding two doors

This looks kinda like it - 35 Dodge. Plymouths are a close call - the black primered one is supposed to be one.

My personal opinion would be to shorten it to a 2dr. but you really need the front doors to pull it off....

If I remember correctly aren't 32-35 dodges/ply mouths the same basic design? I wonder how hard it will be to find two doors off of a two door.

I'd like to argue with Dr. Crank, ..... but how do you argue when he's right all of time? This car is not a '33 or '34, so it has to be '35 or '36.
A lot of us on this site get our fun out of building things, and it looks like you'll get a whole lot of fun out of this hotrod fetus. Keep on tinkering.

Well I have about 7 other cabs or whole cars that I can build other then this one. But I really want a family cruiser. So I'm not sure if a truck is practical or not. Who knows what I will build. If someone offers me some money they will own this one lol.

A truck is impractical as a family hauler. Unless, of course, it is a panel !!! :)

I guess you already know this is how I would restyle it - chop, shorten and 2 door-ification - please excuse the crummy photoshop job.....

This is exactly what I would like to do but my skill level may not be up to the task of making some doors. The next time I'm around the body I will inspect it a little better. I will see how big of a task it will be to recreate the belt line and get a idea of how the rear doors are made to see if I can copy the build method.

I looked at the body briefly today. The body lines don't appear to be to complicated. I may try to reproduce them on a small piece of scrap first and see how it goes.

And I saw the serial number. Maybe one of are awesome members can decode it?

21: Your serial # shows as 1935 Dodge - model code DU.

If you have a firewall tag, it could be more specific. (I haven't found a decode for firewall tags but I'll look until I lose interest... or my patience, whichever comes first. :D)

.

The next time Im out there I will see if there's a tag on the firewall. Thanks for the year ID Crank!
