I started with American Stamping '32 frame rails and added a model A crossmember....................

It's a little overkill, but I built a X member that will hold just about any motor I want.

These springs will hold the manditory, narrow Ford 9".......

Power is a nice little Chevy V8, I know, I know, but I want to drive this A LOT!..........'58 Vette 283 with dual quads(actually it's a four bolt 400CID).....don't tell.

Don't take a fit, the body is fiberglass.........It's a '27 RPU. I had to widen the body to fit the '32 frame, 4 inches in the rear and about 1 1/2 in the front.

Came out pretty good.

I also have this '34 Pick-up body.........this will be powered by the flathead under the bench.( if I live that long)

That's it for now...............it's raining and I got bored.

Someone asked why I used a model A cross member on a '32 frame..........the model A crossmember is almost 2 inches higher in the frame, lowering the car by that same two inches!........maybe this will help someone.

Yep..........It's a little more work boxing after the cross members are installed but I believe it will be much stronger. The boxing plates will recessed into the frame about 3/8 inch to mske room for wires and brake and fuel lines and I think it looks better.
