i don't know specifically but is there another car with the same steering box that you can get a rebuild kit for? In fact, i'm pretty sure the el camino shares a platform with another car, just not sure which. sorry.

Ever think about going to a rack n' pinion? Year One carrys a kit for an El Camino.

Is that the 525 box? If so, they were put in gobs of different vehicles and speedway sells them too. I just replaced the power box in my 69 firebird with one from a 76 monza. Bolted right in though I had to replace the rag-joint and the pitman arm.

thanks for the info.IT does look like it is the 525 box so hopefully Ill be able to find a rebuild kit somewhere or just buy another one
