using a wider ibeam axle

i have a 41 international 1ton frame and wanting to use a ibeam i have from a 60's ford truck. the 29" Spring Perch Center to Center on international and 32.25 for ford. can you brace the frame up and build mounts on outside of frame rails? this will lower my truck too.

I've got a Binder frame that has the spring holders on the outside of the rear part of the frame for the rear end, so I'm sure it works.
