What size brake lines?

I heard some day dreamers saying 3/16" pipe reduces your braking pressure......dream on dreamers....
 
I used to use 3/16 on the fronts and 1/4 on the backs but, have since went to all 3/16 and likes been said, I haven't seen any difference either.
 
Thanks a heap for all the replies! 3/16ths it will be... I figure a 25 foot roll should be aplenty to get it done...

I have heard that some manufacturers used to use different sized lines so that you couldn't mess up and plumb them to the wrong end of the car. The MC outlets were sized thus.

With the tiny quantity and low speed you push fluid through the pipe, size is irrelevant.
