Torchie, your cab looks really sweet. I think I will channel first but I could wait to chop it just so I can not allow myself to get discouraged. Hopefully I can get the cab soon so I don't miss out on the frame.

I, too, am building a 40 Ford cab pickup. I like the looks of a 4 inch chop. I also like the look of a 60" bed with the wheels in the center front to rear. The channel probably won't be much more than four inches.

I bought a parallel rear leaf spring kit and frame stiffener kit (Center of cross member) from Chassis Engineering. They make a good product.

The Honest Charlies truck is sitting on a 32 frame. And it is very low. It would probably be too low to drive comfortably. I am shooting for 4 to 5 inch ground clearance.
