Mrs. Snakefarm sold her daily driver a couple weeks ago.......a lady she works with wanted it worse than she did so as the saying goes, "the best time to sell is when you have a buyer" and now we are car shopping. We took a short trip today to a little town nearby to look around a bit and since it was a pretty day we just kept on going......

Did about a hundred miles of back roads so all the pics look the same :p

Unfortunately we didn't have great foliage this year but a pretty day for a drive nonetheless.......stopped here and there

Stopped and visited with some friends in Helvetia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helvetia,_West_Virginia and had a cup of coffee and some Peach Cobbler at "The Hutte"

......and headed home

Haven't had much time for any car stuff this summer so it was a most enjoyable day just cruising and listening to the pipes.

I think thats why we all do what we do. Go to work everyday, come home and work on our toys, pay the bills, put up with all the wrong/misdoing; all so that every now and then we can take a day and spend it with the people we care about, in a car that we enjoy, on a good road, and in a beautiful part of the world.

HI Snake Farm

What would be even more awesme would being able to run that old Chevy car through the winter...now that would be cool...darn road salt ruins everything for sure...no worrries...just bundle up and go...

Thanks for posting. I love those photos...

Sounds like a perfect day ! Cruisin a 57 with the wife, a full tank of gas, down a road with no signal lights, a beautiful view on a sunny day ? Dang !
