yes the engine need almost every gasket changed. How do you think it would run on gasoline? it turns over once and starts right now no problem.

It would probably run just fine, but gasoline takes more maintenance. You'd probably notice better power with gas over LP, unless the engine was built for LP.

Original compression ratio would have been around 7 to 1. Propane likes high compression and forced induction. It runs about 110 octane. A typical gas engine loses about 20% of its power (and mileage) going to LP unless it has higher compression.

I just saw an old comet last weekend with a turbo on a six cylinder. I think they look really neat.
