Found in the woods of south western New Mexico while deer hunting.
My grandson and I went & pulled this out of a draw 11/22/2016 and drug it home. It layed on the passenger side for a long time. Some rust through on the right side but not bad on the left.

Should be a fun project.

Well done POPS!

Questions:

1) How do you legally own this find?
2) Are all four doors there? I could only see three in your other posts.

.

my 3Oish had the 4 suicide doors also and the body looks a lot like what l started with., is Hudson a sibling company of mopar at that time period?

Later:cool:

Nash and Hudson merged in 1954 to form AMC.

1) The forest service said thanks for hauling trash out of the woods.
According to my state police friend, "You got me!" That's going to be my first step is to try to find a serial number stamped in the frame somewhere then research it from there. If all else fails we can register it in New Mexico as a home built vehicle by saving and submiting receipts at DMV. It would just have a current year as the date of manufactured.

2) The doors on the left side are there and the right front is partially there.
Needs a door skin. I will have to make the right rear door if I can't find one.
From what I've seen parts are scarce.[S:eek:[S

Hudson

Nice job getting that home Pops. I just bought a cheap 26 Hudson grill shell for my Pilot project. A bargain for $20. Those double suicide doors are sooo cool![cl

Hunting season is over, I've got deer and elk meat in the freezer so it's time to get started on this thing.
I got all the squirell nests and crap out of it blew it out good and got it inside on the lift. Cut the scrap running boards off and got the three doors that I've got to swinging. Tomorrow I'll remove what's left of the rear fenders.
Check out how well the lines along the left side line up. And the floor is 80% good. Not bad for a 82 year old heap found in the woods.

I looked for an hour for some kind of stamped number in the frame. No such luck.

I guess the next thing to do is get the thing blasted so I can started patching rusted out places . The majority of the work is going to be on the top.

My bride is already calling it her car so I guess I'm building her a ride.
This ought to be fun right up untill its time to pick the paint. We don't ever agree on the color of "her" vehicles.

That's kool!!

I am in on watching this build.

It's going to be a slow project I'm afraid. The bride is retiring in June so life as I know it will probably change in a lot of ways.

Thanks. Its got a few ruff spots but hey it was free.

paint.

what is this weird substance called paint[S-

that is close to what the 3Oish was when we started, my roof was in better shape but l had no floors at all.

Motor, trans, frame and is it gonna be fenderless/hoodless [;)[;)[;)

have fun, l like it,

PS if you have not had a suicided door style car, make sure the door latches are very secure, my friend got in the 3O and do not get the latch properly latched, 40 MPH, W000SH, one open door.

Later
