This is the new Cadillac I picked up the other day. Got it running and driving today. Had to order a new water pump because this one decided to rip the seal out of it and start throwing water everywhere. It will be getting air bagged and a new set of wheels and tires along with the front seat getting repaired. The interior is actually in really good shape other than the front seat where the stitching is coming apart.

Nice find, lb! [cl

I have a soft spot for old Cadillacs, when they were the class of the class and built like a frickin' battleship!

Sorry to hijack, but you touched a nerve. I had two wealthy uncles who loved their Cadillacs, each having five or six of them at a time... late sixties, early seventies, late seventies, early eighties...

So, one of my cousins decided to take one of the (forbidden) Cadillacs for a rip past his high school and his older brother described the event as this...

"Hal (then under age) comes tearing down 27th, trailing tire smoke, hammer down and blows by the school at terminal velocity... five thousand pounds of glass and steel went by like a comet... fast as it was, I could see Hal had the wheel in one hand and a twister in the other." :D

If I had to garage that car I'd have to get rid of three of my little cars.

Ha!

I will be ordering an air ride kit for this monster asap!!

Also considering what wheels to run. Was thinking a set of solid detroit steel wheels. But I'm also looking at these

The Manhattan speaks Caddy to me more than the one on the bottom. Similar to some 16" original hubcaps I have hanging on the wall.

Looks like Raceline makes some cool wheels! Either would give it a different look, I like the Classico but the Manhattan has some unique lines too. I like Detroit Steel Wheels but they're so plain, on a boat like this the wheels you posted would give it much-needed class. IMO

Exhibit A

Is Tank a 1968?

No it is not a 68. I originally thought it was. I just got the paperwork for it and it is a 66. 68 has a different body line in the hood above the grill

I am torn between the wheels. I think either one would look really good. I do like the Classico because it does look more like the original hubcaps. Not going to go overly large with them the smallest they make in those is an 18 so that's probably what I will run. We are a ways off ordering any wheels for itself I have time

That's odd, every 1966 photo I found has a different window line. 67 and 68 seem to have that window line. Weird.

Heck maybe I miss read the title. Cause 66 does have a more flat rear window line

A few examples
