Thanks jfg455, I picked up the 12 bolt from my old man for free too :D

As far as my power plant I do have my eyes on a 455 pontiac that a friend has laying around. Its complete from carb to oil pan to trans, hope I can land it for this rod.

Got some more frame work done today, still got to cut out some fish plates for the front and rear and box it in high stress areas. Almost ready to get this 12 bolt mounted in. Hope to have it a roller before the new year and get the cab set on it.

Your project is look'n good. Bracing the frame and fishplating are also a good plan to prevent flexing, that Ponitac will produce lots of torque. Waiting patiently for more updates[P

Not much done this week, should have my front fish plates cut out today out of some .250 diamond plate. Should get these put on tomorrow and some more bracing.
I recieved my converter yesterday so I will be installing my 5.3L in the 64 C10 on Monday. Should be a nice install with plenty of power.

Got my front fish plates cut out, mocked one up to get an idea how they will look. Should stiffen it up pretty good. They are made out of .250 diamond plate.

Got the fish plates on and removed the front axle so I can work on the frame easier and get the welds finished.

Picked up a couple of these WWII tanks now to figure out what to do with these. Would like to have them in the bed of the truck for looks.

Pulled the leaf packs, going to pull out the 2nd and 3rd spring from the bottom, clean and paint them then put some grease between them and assemble. I will be ordering new bushings and hardware from LMC to put them back together. Should provide a good ride. I hope.

Did some parts trading today with a guy and his dad. Turns out his dad has a 425 Caddy engine that he is putting on me cheap. So this build will most likely be CADDY POWERED.

Started cleaning up the front end. Got some bolts and bushings ordered from LMC. Ready to make it a roller. Plan is to pick up the 425 Cadillac motor on Wednesday morning.

Yeah, I think I have it figured out, but that seems to change once I get working on it.
Picked up the powertrain today. Its a 425cid Cadlillac with Turbo 400. Going to hopefully get the motor, trans, steering column, gear box and rear end pulled this week. Leaf bushings and bolts will be in tomorrow.
