My wife took my 2 wheel drive 3500 to work today and then its snowing.
I might have to go get her in my trusty M43B1.
The pickup is terrible in slick conditions.
I just took the 43 out for a spin in the snow.
I have fantastic traction.
Tried locking em up
And spinning out.
Went down a steep icy street with not a hint of traction loss.

.....

I never got in trouble with my 2wd Ford PU with a posi. As soon as I got a 4x4, I was in all kinds of trouble. :D

I have to go to the doctor today.
Got the block heater on the shaggin waggin plugged in so it'll be toasty warm inside quickly.
it blows hot in 4 blocks of driving at 0f
I want one of those arctic grill covers mostly for looks.
But it wouldn't hurt

I am enjoying the heck out of it.
Sure i miss the 27
But i get to play with this year round
And bring friends, dogs etc

I had a 58 f350 dually that would get stuck in an inch of snow even heavily loaded
One wheel wonder
My current dually runs a 14 bolt GM axle with the G80 limited slip otherwise known as the Eaton Gov-Loc
the 8.5" version is iffy
the 10.5" version is alot tougher tough
Now you don't want to go doing major burnouts or high speed spins on ice then grab dry concrete, it;s not a detroit locker
But it's like a cat on ice
you feel one wheel start to slip and then it locks up gently
it also unlocks automatically somewhere around 20 mph so you don't fishtail
This 86 dually get around almost as good as a 4x4 with that posi in it
