Default Low budget 2.0

So some of you fellas might remember my 1950 Chevy I called the low-budget 50. I haven't had it out on the road since we moved to our new place almost 4 years ago!! Sad really!

Little recap

She was bought by my dad when he was 14ish. They used it on the dairy hauling feed. He drove it to school for a while until he built his Chevelle.

I was always told from a young age it was mine when I was old enough. When I was 14 or so we started working on it. We cut a real mustang 2 front suspension out of a car destined for the crusher. I scavenged an 8.8 out of a Lincoln mark 7. We also took the air bags out of it for a later date.

The truck was set up as a roller and left in the back of the shop. Not enough time or funds for a high school kid hahaha

When my wife and I got our first house I brought the truck home. It then underwent it's build as it sits now.

I drug a 327 out of my dad's barn and went through it. I traded electrical work for my 700r4. I did the patch panels and learned to use lead filler. I built my own air management system using the Lincoln bags and parts from the hardware store.

It was a labor of love and it was my first real street build. I was hooked. It's been in calenders for rrr and Randy's ring and pinion. Been driven all over the Pacific north west.

I have been so busy with other things that it has sat neglected. Well no longer!! I have been collecting parts for the last 8 months and I'm March it's going in the shop and all customer stuff is going out!!!

I lost all my build photos I just found out. I thought I had them on a disc, but they are gone with killbillet.

Stay tuned. This is going to be fun!

I remember using a pic of it for the calendar one year.

Sadly, most of my pics are stored on a old hard drive I turned into an external drive when the motherboard of the computer it was on crashed, now, my computer won’t read it anymore. I also had a lot of them on photo bucket, and they got lost, too.

What are your plans for the new build? Do you not like things about it or just want to level up now that your build skills are improved?

I'm excited to follow along
