An old high school friend

Stoped by his shop today to see if he wanted to do some fiber glass repair on my motorhome.

He built him self a sweet little '70 Chevy parts chasing truck with a blown small block.

Ford was responsible for that. The aging Monte body wasn't near as slippery as the new T-bird for Nascar so they came up with the bubble back window until they could get the Lumina out. Pontiac had one too. Remember Awesome Bill turned a 212.809 in the bird, might still be the fastest lap ever recorded because the restictor plates came out right after that.
And that folks is your history lesson for today.

I always liked those Aerocoupe Monte Carlos , use to watch a white one run here at the local strip. Ran pretty good for a TPI 305.. the guy would pull a John Force burnout and then loose every race.. He just like to buy tires I suppose.

Known my buddy since high school (over 40 yrs) & had heard about this car but never seen it! He's been hiding it in his garage since the late 60's... hardly ever drives it!

I don't drive any of mine much. It's not that I'm protecting them, I'm just too busy building the next one.

I can relate to that. It's obvious that you like the building of hot rods.
I don't know how you do so many different types of projects at the same time.
My poor simple mind is too one tracked.
