Thanks Bama.
Started out on the Dodge this morning.
Looking at the steering geometry now.
Dash back in. Steering column back in.
Looks like plenty of room to go past the exhaust manifold.
Comes close to being in line with the steering box.
Looking at DD shaft and universal joints now.

If you can find an ASTRO van in your local yard, they have a neat double U joint DD shaft you can make work. Might be cheaper than aftermarket joints.

Got the bake booster/pedal mocked in this morning.
Plenty of room on the engine side of the fire wall.
Pedal placement is good as well.
I have a universal on it's way. On to the steering shaft.

Thanks soltz and OI.
I get out there everyday. Even if its only for an hour.
Its as much physical and mental therapy as anything else.
I have reached the point in my life that if it doesn’t make me happy I don’t do it anymore.
I think thats a enviable place to be.😎

I so agree with that statement...

I need my shop time just to keep my sanity

My happy place is fiddling with rusty metal...mine is a historical thing also...my father was garage guy as was his father too...

Even an hour a day helps me mentally and physically...and my better half doesn't seem to mind either...

Thanks for sharing...

Right on, Mike.
Brother brought over the new to me, used set of manifolds. One more box checked off.
And the first steering universal came by mail.
3/4-30 spline ro a 3/4 DD,
Moving forward on that.
