Build a roadster!!!
It's about ready for a test drive, as soon as the weather cooperates.
Just thought I would load a few pics of the build. Everyone likes pictures.

I like it too Stonebird... are the front springs a kit or did you
make it? Keep posting....

Just some farm store trailer springs and parts from a 4 link rearend kit I picked up at a swap meet. I made the brackets for the frame and axle from 1/4" plate. The whole spring is mounted inside the frame. The other end is bolted through at the back. Center bolt is mounted through a slot in the top of the frame with plastic sliders.

Any pictures of the car before the surgery?

Sorry, didn't take any before pics. It was just an old 4 door with rusty floors and frame. As a whole not a very atractive car, at least to me. My dad got it for the nailhead engine and was going to throw the rest away. I liked the look of the tail lights and little rear fins and an idea was born.

You nailed it!!!! I've seen too many of these where they either don't taper the body or they try to force a 32 style grille on it and the proportions look like total butt. But you got it right! [cl

I also like the sliding hood.

I rather like the proportions of a butt, in many cases, but I do get your point. And I totally agree that the end result is visually pleasing. [cl
