I have roadster type over the frame headers on my fenderless 37 chevy truck. The header forward most header toob is a little more than a inch from the bias ply tire. Will the heat generated by the header cause problems for the tire? What is I wrap the header? At no point, even while driving and turning does the tire ever get closer. I just wonder what your thoughts are on this. Thanks.
 
As long as you're moving, the air will be flowing away from the tire. Does the tire get hot to the touch when you are sitting still? Unless you are doing a lot of time sitting with it running, it shouldn't be a problem.
