There is alot of info on the internet about the geometry between the throttle shaft and the position of the mount pin for the 700r4 TV cable. The 9906 Edelbrock has a mount hole on the bottom of the carb bracket that is 1 3/32 center to center and that is correct for mounting the TV cable. The experts say at WOT the cable mount should be 67% in front of the throttle shaft and at idle the cable mount should be 33% behind the throttle shaft. Mine is alittle less than 33% at idle.
Wondering if any of you have done this and how did it work?

700R4 is my tranny of choice & although they are a lil more expensive... I use throttle & downshifts from Lokar.

Upon reading the instructions [haha] it seems Edelbrock makes an adapter for the TV cable. [part #8026] So I got one and installed it and the geometry looks better. I had to move my homemade TV cable mount but I think I can now make adjustments that will work. Thanks for your input, guys .

Thank you, good Sir. This is exactly what I have to do tomorrow. [;)

I spent whole day looking for the answers to the wrong questions, when the right ones were right here.
