Default NORTH CAROLINA 1950 Plymouth

Hey everyone it’s been almost 3 years I guess since being here with Franknbug.Health issues almost took me out so I had to sell it,but now doing alot better I was gifted a 1950 sedan deluxe 2 door. It was in a barn for 30 years and has no motor, trans and everything else is still there. My question is do I install a engine and trans or change out the entire chassis works.HELP

Welcome back.

I would look for a complete donar for a driveline. Those Mopars had a pretty good frontend, parts are available. If the floors are solid, I wouldn't go the chassis swap route, they seldom fit well and cause a lot of greif.

For some inspiration check out Torchie's thread on the one he's doing. He has taken it from ugly ducklin to being a swan.

Welcome back.
I vote for putting a newer Chrysler motor and transmission in there and sprucing up what you already have, [most of the car].
Go for it.

I agree with the Mopar, as I always prefer to keep the brand name complete. I know several fellows that have found the 413 in older RVs and installed in their rats..

Nice find, I do prefer the front of the 52 for these models but still way cool, good luck!

Welcome back.
Good to see another Mopar.
Butch's cool stuff makes Mopar Small block engine and transmission conversion kits for these.
Check them out...

It's funny. As Chevy guy I'd not hesitate () to put a Chevy in a Ford.....but..... Mopar is a close second to me and like others I'd stay true to the brand on that.
Enjoy the build!
