I have a Ford 8" diff with drums in my 50 Studebaker and may need to know what year it is when I go to the parts house for new drums.

This is what I can make out from the pics I took last year of the tag.

WCZ V OAO
79 8 930

This might help a bit. Not sure if your missing some numbers though.
From what I can find, the letters WCZ V should have an additional number. If the V is followed by a 1 it would be a 2.79 ratio. Corresponds with the 79 if it had the 2. in front of it. The 8 needs a couple more letter/numbers for the date. At any rate, here's what the tag should look like and what it stands for.

Thanks guy's,
I went with the 67-70 Stang and got what I needed from Car Quest for $65.00 each which seams to be very high considering I paid only $13.00 each for rebuilt calipers from O'Reilly's. Napa wanted $60.00 each for drums and O'Reilly's wanted $45.00 for drums but only CarQuest had them in stock and I'm going to Reno (1 hr from here) tomorrow night to cruise, its the "HOT AUGUST NIGHTS" event you know.

Thanks again.
