Ford independent rear ends as used in Thunderbirds and Cougar
have it in my street rod but can't get to lock up it does 1 wheel peels
is there something i have to do to the rear end

Are you sure it's a limited slip? There will be an "L" in the number on the diff tag if so. Even if it is a limited slip, it's not a "locker" so won't lock the 2 wheels together.

Clutches could be worn, or you have the wrong diff fluid in it. It needs specific synthetic fluid to work right.

some time it will spin both wheels an sometime not am old skool
have to be loud an alot of smoke[;)
