Okay so i got my c10 running... The bad thing is that after we topped off the trans fluid and put it in gear it didn't move and stated pumping fluid out the vent ( think its a vent ) and now sounds like something is rattling around inside it!

Any ideas?
Any one have a Auto trans that fits a sbc long tail shaft?

Sure it isn't coming out the cooler hole?

Did you line up the torque converter with the front pump before bolting to the engine. If not you broke the front pump.

Converter is in correct it lined up fine. Fluid not coming out on right side but on left side. This trans sat for a few years inside a heated garage and it had fluid in it... Guessing something stuck in the valve body or something in the pump. Last time this was used was in a pull truck. Either way i have a 2500 stall converter to go on the shelf next to a bad MSD Mini starter!
