WC t5 to s10 4x4 t5 tail housing question

I asked this over on the KB but I havent got much responce so my question is.

I have a world class t5 out of a mustang with everything minus the bell Im looking to do a swap so that I can mount a transfer case on the back. Will this swap work? Has it ever been done? And What years did the s10 come with a t5 option in 4x4? Ive heard they had them but im having a really hard time figuring out what years they came in?

Don't know if what your looking for will be there but there's alot there.

it did help a little to find some of the year ranges ill have to look around and try to find a 4x4 rear section so i can figure out how to make it fit

You have to swap the tailshaft housing and the tailshaft from a 4WD T5, effectively gutting two boxes to make one. If you're using an S10 transfer case, just bolt in the S10 trans. You need one to steal the parts from anyhow.
