Sounds like you will have a great day in the garage. Spraying with some music on is a great day for me but I have not been in the garage lately.

Well, it's DONE! Had a few mishaps (cup started leaking and got a few drips), but I'm really happy with it! Haven't painted for 6 or 7 years, so it took a little while to get back in the "groove."

It is duplicolor lacquer... 2 parts red : 1 part black on the burgundy...
I am going to wet sand the whole thing, to take care of my drips and a little dirt on the top of the cowl... and spray two more coats of clear. That should leave me plenty of room for a good cut and buff after I put it all together...

Well, it was a lot of work, but the wet sand and additional clear was well worth it! I am much happier with it now...

I lined the interior with duplicolor bed liner and undercoated it today... now it can dry all weekend, while I'm at work...
