heres some pic. of my 38 chevy build..if nothing else a couple of how to do thing the hard way.
it is mounted on a 86 b200 frame ..i know not as cool as a straight axle but low cash makes it what im using (100 for frame, everything as a roler)
this is how i made the cab. fit the "wide" spot in the frame by cutting the rockers by welding in bump outs& channels for the doors .

looks like it's time for the fun to begin . nothing like all that measuring and sawing and welding and grinding and on and on and on . But the end result is worth all the work !

all welded to gether..after all the measureing and double checking ect things still went haywire dont know how but they did.
the right door opening some how moved and door wouldnt close .
the left side door bowed out and got short some how .
all the parts that were cut out were within 1/4" of each other [S
i "fixed" the right door by making a cut right behind door opening and tappen it back welding it up.
left door i cut back of window frame apart and cut a small wedge out of inside front putted it in tacked door shut measured peace needed to fill gap and welded it back together.
i have not done a chop before and it shows.
i was advised not to go the way of laying post back i know know why ,and like most other times in my life i had to find out why and once again prove my self to be a d... a.. thanks for the heads up guys .

pulled the motor out of the 86 on sat. brought it home and started cleaning it up ect.
learned something new , it seems that the 305 and the 330 are the same in many ways as in same outward block ect.
i thought that everything was chevy by then
COOL beans .. so back to plane A
that beeing install the 330 and trans. fig if it dont run i got a backup that will bolt right up. better to be lucky that good:cool:
