Hi, the Speedometer in my Super 88 is not working so the first thing i did was checking the speedometer cable but it was ok...
This morning I removed the speedo to check if the inside is ok...

If I turn the side where the cable goes in, the needle should move but the copper coloured wire does not move...

Now my question is: has anybody of you dismatled a speedo completely? Can I remove the needle without any problems?
I don´t want to brake it...

Thank´s for your help!

Kai

I also made some pictures...

I would see if you can find a speedo repair shop

there in germany.....I'm sure most of the older cars there had mechanical speedos...if not, there are a ton of repair shops here.....we have one here in Michigan I've used over the years....called Specmo...never had any issues with them....I'd leave the major repairs to an expert since it appears to be internal....Just my opinion.....
