My friend Jim in Atlanta put a Coyote in a Fairlane Wagon with stock front suspension. Should go okay for you too.

BTW, I liked the video but I don't log in to You Tube so I can't comment or anything.

Thanks for the info bob!!

100% late model engines are the way to go. I get the old school carb thing, no knocks there, but you said it all when you said you figured up what it would cost to rebuild an old engine compared to buying a late model

So if I slammed the hood hard enough a couple times do you guys think it would fit?

i had a 62 galaxie once I thought of putting a 4.6 in and that was the same problem I think, oil pan clearance to the weird ford steering setup.

Yes I have to order an oil pan for it. Just like the old motor that needs to be a front sump

So I found some instructions from some old boys who used to race Mustangs they were smashing 429 in those Mustangs. I follow their measurements exactly and replace them with a 3/16 thick plate. Should work LOL. The motor does fit in there now which I did not get any pictures of for some reason. I will try and get a couple later

When I put the LS3 in my Chevelle I had to get an oil pan with the sump on the opposite end. That was when LS swaps weren't very common & had to pay $750 for one. 3 months later they were selling for $350... I was PO'd! Luckily... the Chevelle didn't have shock towers!

That should be a real beast when you get it on the road!!!
