I got my floor finished and picked up a seat, it's for the rear of a CJ5 Jeep.

I will probably only use the shift gate/pattern part of the console.

The mounting legs will be turned toward the rear, the seat has a latch in the rear and folds forward.

Pretty good storage behind the seat.

:eek:Hey, I recognize that console.......First Gen Novas are my other weakness:D You're right, it looks best with just the shift gate. Those are some weird shaped consoles to try to make fit something else anyway. Keep up the good work, the car is looking great![cl[cl

Pulled my engine from the donor and will start cleaning it up and changing out the intake soon. It looks pretty nasty but it's a good running '62 283 PowerPack. I will use the ramhorns, generator and plug wire holders.

Made a stand for the seat which hinges in the front, decent storage compartment.

Framed up the trunk area and made some body/shock mounts.

30_Model_A_229.jpg

Used the framing to square up the rear cross-member, them aligned the fenders.

Body/shock mounts are 1.250" X .250 wall.

Cheated a little and got a RCI 15 gallon fuel cell, safety first.

Trunk fits decent.

Rolled the coupe outside for the first time, hopefully the next time it goes out will be under it's own power.

Modified a '40 Ford pedal to fit.

30_Model_A_250.jpg

Used a stainless piano hinge and a set of M37 (Military Dodge truck) windshield stays to mount the deck lid.

Worked on my carb linkage, I had to rework it some to clear the banjo fittings.

Worked some more on the gas pedal, I think it will work out pretty good.

I made the cowl top removable to ease working on the brakes and electrics, I used these latches to hold it in place and will tack some short screws in the original mounting holes.
