Default c5 or AoD?

What are your thoughts?

I figure AoD has that extra gear for cruising, but I hear that the c5 is stronger

I have a 351w out of a 77 Lincoln. I figure the AoD should handle it.

Also, do either one of these trannys need vacuum lines? I ask because I want to get rid of all the excess vacuum hoses on that 351.

I'm open to all suggestions and thoughts.
Thanks

C5 has vac lines, they adjust shift points under cruise conditions. I would use the c5. Use the vac line also. No sense in beating the hell out of your trans.
