Default Part 1.

It's a trunk day.
First Pic is just a reminder of where we started.
Metal pieces glued down. Trunk floor is Good and strong and sealed.
I used my rocker panel chip guard to coat the entire inside of the trunk.
You can throw 3 bodies in there now if you wanted too.
A proper Cadillac.

Default Part 2

In keeping with the spirit of using up as many of my odds and ends as possible........
Went down into the crypt and came back up with these. The last of my commercial floor tiles.
We used these on the floor of my Daughters 60 Chevy.
I have 8 left. 18"x18". Should be enough to do the bottom of the trunk and maybe the sides and back.
I will glue these down.
That's it for today.
Keep on keeping on.....

I was thinking along those same lines, Bama. Torchie sure doesn't want any blood dripping onto the road off all those bodies in that huge trunk.

It's big. That's for sure.
Going to work on the side cardboard panels.
See if I can save them.
This one is from the Drivers side.
It is the worse of the two.

I survived the 7 a.m Physical Therapy.
Was going to nap, but couldn't get comfortable so out to the shop I went.
The cardboard side pieces are in rough shape. Did the best I could to put them back together. Then I reinstalled them.
As long as I don't keep putting them in and taking them out they should be ok.
I gave them 2 coats of my favorite stuff. Rocker panel chip guard. It sticks to anything.
Cadillacs are interesting as they did things like metal plates to hide the door hinges and in the trunk these pieces. They go up against the lower edge of the trunk and hide the unsightly wiring from the back up lights. So they went back in . Of course I hit them with the chip guard too.
I am still on the fence with regards to using the floor tiles. But since I have them I will see what I can do.
At this point the trunk is very black. And I have no doubt that it will hold water.
I may spray the card board pieces grey to lighten things up. Or not........
Keep on keeping on.....

Maybe a Koi pond for shows?

Dull but necessary.....
Jon stopped by so we worked on the hood hinge and then turned the Caddy around. Time for the Passenger side.
Used a pipe wrench on the hinge this time. Got the inner arm on the hinge straight.
The back edge of the hood is still up off the cowl a bit. I think hinge adjustments may take care of this.
Not many pics as I was holding up the hood
We then turned the caddy around in the shop to get to the PS.
I thought this was the better side of the two.
Outer rocker skin not so much. The floors appear to be better though.
I will know more once I dig into it.
Keep on keeping on....
Torchie.
