I am working on my first holley since 1982 and need help.
My carb has 2 sets of numbers on air horn. Can anyone help my identify what I have?
Numbers are:
80457-2
3269
I need help if anyone can tell by numbers what I have and did it come on a car or is it an aftermarket carb?.
Will need a kit and front bowl where fuel goes in has the big part of float adjustment stripped out and leaking.
How do I fix the stripped part?
Any answers will be appreciated.
thanks

80457-2 is a Holley number - model 4160 - 600 CFM.

Are you sure the float adjustment is stripped? The screw is the lock and the nut is the adjustment... could be... somebody set it too deep and if that's the case, the nut has no thread to hold...

Doc's most likely right.
When the carb gets debris in the needle seat which causes it to flood over. Most people just try screwing the float adjustment down to stop this and go too far.

Cool, now I know what the carb is.
I bet it is just screwed down too much and not stripped.
Thanks Dr Crank and Old Iron.I sure appreciate the help and advice.
I am looking forward to using a Holley again.
