ok here's you a question that i have not found a answer for. the first half year of 70 used the 69 body. in 70 trans am racing upped the cid to 400 from 305. did the first half of 70 have z28's? if they did did they have the lt1 350?

Yes, the second gen Camaro - 1970 to 1972 - did come with an LT1 in the Z28. It was 350 cid, 360 gross HP. You could not get a Z28 with AC until 1973.
Edit: I just re-read your post. No the first gen 1969 Camaro did not come with the LT1.
