Is there a drop in differential for these trucks? One that will not require a plethora of mods to work?
 
S10. Good stock for up to about 400 hp. PU are a bit narrower than the Blazers. You may have to make mini-tubs in the bed sides, depending on tire width and setback.

Ranger gets you disc brakes. Not sure about width.

The 2WD S10 rear is too narrow, it needs to be a 4WD for proper width. The added bonus to the 4WD is they are usually a decent gearset and limited slip. 2nd Gen Camaro/Firebird are also a near perfect fit.
