Can you convert..?

I came across a kinda of a deal I think.Kid i met yesterday said his dad wants to sell a rear end out of a 1986 WS6 trans-am but it has rear disc.He said it is easy to convert it to drums but I didnt think you could that.I know it works the other way around but I am not sure about making it drums.I know I will need backing plates and hardware and wheel cylinders and such.Someone shed some light on this to make sure its worth my time and money...He wants 75.00 for the whole thing.

You could get a complete 10 bolt drum rearend that is already what you need for less than $75...

And what is the matter with rear disc brakes?

I would rather keep the discs.But if need it to be drum just unbolt what you have and bolt in backing plates and cylinders and get a set of drums.

Much safer IMO. And just what I'm looking for.
