Starter stuck in Start mode?

Glad to be of service, one way or another! LOL

So tomorrow I finally get to put the tune-up stuff I bought for it, which was the last drive before before this catastrophagus bit me on the bum. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor and check timing! $66 bucks total in parts. Gotta love old Chevies...

I think I'll leave well enough alone for now. If and when the time comes, then will deal with whatever needs to happen. Until then, there's always triple A!

The continuing saga of this old truck:

I taped up all the crushed wires today, still have cramps in my legs from crawling up into the engine bay and bending over the carb to get to the loom. Plugged the hole where the crappy aftermarket oil pressure gauge line had broken off, making it a gusher instead of a gauge, and test-fired and drove it up and down the street. No sparks, no fire, no snail trail of oil ... Heck, I might just be done with this thing for a while? {knock wood} Just had to share.
