Back home from sunny Arizona at last, brought home the fuel tank from Tanks Inc., nice tidy unit with an in tank pump to support 900 HP(!). Need to do some yard cleanup and tend to other stuff that has been on the back burner first though, while I've been doggin' it down south, cruising the Hercules daily around Yuma :cool:

Welcome back! Did you sort out herc's brakes?

Thanks, and no, I didn't figure it out with time running out down south and a certain distraction by the name of JoAnn now being a major part of my life. :D
Still thinking it's the booster or as you suggested, the check valve. I may bring the Hennway down to Az this fall and bring the Hercules back for some upgrades like a 390, OD tranny for highway cruising, etc.

Good for you pal!

Yeah, I'm betting that it's one of the two.

More power and an OD, now you're talking!

BTW the tank for the Packard looks good, I'm excited to see the progress on this one!

Got the gas tank mounted, fits like it was meant to be there - well actually, I looked up the dimensions online and sized the frame to fit it - nice when things actually go as planned....

Chopped up a perfectly good set of headers today - 567 Chev was about as close as I could get but they didn't fit under the fenders - slice and dice, presto changeo, Packard BBC headers!

Headers and that steering system you have are two things I am considering for said headers. I have the original steering column and to keep my old school original theory, I am considering getting a pair of upright derby headers and and slicing dicing them into a custom fender well exit to clear the column.

Great work, continue!

Yeah, I know the steering unit is expensive and not "old school correct" but it sure solves the problem. But then how "correct" is Packard gasser?? I'm already creating a 'never was' kind of thing here, so I'm just writing my own rule book. To heck with the "can't do that" types, like Frankie said - I did it my way....:D
