It was quit an adventure with the rear end. Tim went nuts tryin to get his Samari around to pull the rear and in the end we used good ole fashioned brute strength and determination.:D

Heres the rear on the sled and few of myself with a before the chop n after. Enjoy. RR

More progress !!!

Well, Rod ask if I would post some pics of the progress I made yesterday so here they are! I tacked the rear pieces in and then went to the front to tackle the cutting and leaning of the A pillars! I cut acrossed the top and let it all piviot on the roof to get lined up.Then once it was lined up and tacked I cut the top even with top of windshield and welded in!

Lookin' great! I'm really liking where you're headed with it. Duals and double windows - too cool.

That axle on the sleds cracked me up! But I've been there before - do what works.

I'm jealous. That's a lot to show for a few days. It's got "the look".

Looks like you are thinking quarter ellipticals for front springs?
 
Heres the engine thats going in it.

Had it built and in another car but never fired it up so its freshly built. 355ci sbc, steel crank n rods, forged blower pistons and blower cam. 7 inch steel balancer, Edelbrock performer rpm alluminum heads, Roller rockers, dual blower prepped Edelbrock 500cfm carbs and a complete msd ignition and 6AL box. All topped with a Weiand polished 6-71 blower.

Should make in the area of a pump gas friendly 500-550 horsepower! Cant wait.:D Should look nice tucked in the build. RR

Back at it !!!

OK , Been busy with allot of different things(siding on my house ect.) and now I'm back on building Rod's IH. Started frame sections last night and welded a little bit on them tonight ! Rod wanted me to post some pics! Frame is 2x6x3/16" with 3x3x1/4" tube turned to take on the shape of a Diamond which is IH's emblem.Just a little something to tie it all to gether kinda thing![;)
Was going to build with quarter eliptic suspenion but decided to go full air ride with custom arms.Can you say HEAVY DUTY!

cab

the IH of that year is the same cab for diamiond T's.
my friend has a 1950 DT and his cab was rotten and he found a mint IH cab and used it. the diffirence is in the grille and fenders. l found out this by working on his.

looks good, keep us updated, and send that motor to me, it looks like to much power for the boy:D

Heres a pic with the body dropped at about its lowest point and with the rear end were runnin. The duals will be out the sides a little but I think it looks bad!!! The old clearance lights and air horns really set her off to. The air bag kit should be here soon. Im gettin amped!![cl
