69 chevelle

what parts will fit a 68 chevelle... My gf picked one up and its missing a few pieces. Just wondering what other cars would share the same non ac heater box. And what car could i get rob a disc brake setup for the front. Car has drums up front?

Probably any 1968-72 GM A-body. Many of the parts will interchange. Lots of conversion kits for disc out there to. I'd rather get new brake parts than rebuilding questionable junk yard parts.

You can't beat this Speedway kit for $240. However, you will need disc brake spindles @ $125.

yeah alot of the a-body stuff.. just stay away from the 502 motor way to much weight on the front end

This was a basket but turned out pretty nice.

I would go new on the brakes, much easier to deal with. They have interchange manuals out there that deal only with chevelles they do come in handy.

will diffently go new on the brakes... just looking for spindles and caliper brackets. and any brake stuff to use as cores.

We have everything but interior engine and trans. the car is solid all over. everything that it does have it comes with doubles.

Any one got any ideas for colour besides red with white or black stripes? theres at least 6 with 20 min from me that look like that.

those 70-72's are nice I dont know my chevelles lol

I know there for awhile the 70's F-body spindle was popular, I think its a taller spindle, supposed to improve handling.. I used to have a 68 SS396 bench seat/column shift car..shoulda kept it

If you use the taller spindle you will need to change the upper a-arm to a later model.

There's a place here in Texas... Red's... that's a Chevy & Chevelle junk yard! They can usually furnish anything on the cheap & ship it to you! I ordered several things that were original parts... not repop's! The roller at the bottom of the rear windows on Chevelles are notorious for breaking & mine was no exception... try to find one! Made out of pot metal so welding is really not an option. They looked through 6 or 7 cars & came up with a right & left! Thanks again Red's! Bought several other hard to find items from them as well... great folks!

Thats what I was thinking. I would definitely build a big full frame car like this with a big block to make it a real muscle car.

I'll put a hundred dollar bill on the dash, u in the passenger seat and if u can grad it in the first three seconds off the line u can have it, but no one has ever been able to brake past that g force problem yet. the picture I posted of the red one it is actually for sell a 502 is just way to much motor, it has to go...[cl

What??? does everyone have a red Chevelle with black stripes.??
Mine has a 454HO 700R4 3.73 12 bolt posi. Global West front tubular A-arm front suspension with tall spindle and disc brakes.

If it's that straight, black with gold stripes
If not color code 53 1970 olds cutlass gold with black stripes.
This one is dull but, as a new paint job it's awesome

nope! mines white with black stripes!

396/th400 tall spindles, C5 vette brakes, 18" TQ thrusts and a Fab 9 rear w/ 3:89 gears

Did you change out the small block springs?

I am for Blue with white stripes, thats what my 69 will be when repainted.
